Tutorial 1: Registration and Company Setup

Setting up Custodian CMMS is really easy … and it’s FREE – what we call “Custodian-LITE”. You can use this Free, LITE version of custodian for as long as you like. It’s not a trial – it never expires.

Then … If you need to setup more than three users or if you need to manage maintenance for more than fifteen assets – you can upgrade to a custodian PRO plan (contact our sales team to upgrade from LITE to PRO).


In your favorite browser go to “app.custodiancmms.com”. Click the REGISTER button.
In the registration window, start by entering your company name and your company’s main telephone number.

Select your industry from the drop-down list, and choose your preferred currency.
As an option – for branding – you can also add your company logo.

NEXT … Enter your company’s mailing address, city, province or state, postal or ZIP code, and select your country.

Finally … you’ll need to create an ADMIN user. This is your company’s main user – with access to all your custodian settings.
Enter their email address and a strong password. Remember your password because you’ll need it to log-in.
Enter the ADMIN user’s full name and phone number – which is probably different from the company’s main phone number. Add their mobile phone number too. This will be used for SMS-text notifications, alerts, and reminders (requires a PRO plan).

That’s it … Click finish. This will take you back to the Login screen so you can get started using Custodian™ CMMS.
